EDDIE NEEDS A HOME : Hey...I am trying anything I can think of to try and get a 4 year old Wheaton Terrier a good home. Here is the story....you were there last Friday when we left to go help our friends whose son-in-law took his own life. His wife Lesley is just beside herself. Anyway, they have 2 dogs and one is EDDIE, the Wheaton Terrier. He is very sweet and friendly...good with kids - they have a 3 year old child who can pull his ears and lay all over him and he does nothing. However, Eddie has a lot of energy and has not gotten good training (for several reasons I won't go into). He jumps, but in a friendly way (what dog doesn't!) ..but if he gets a hold of food that is unattended, when you try to get it away from him, he will snap and growl. I don't think he has ever bitten anyone...but I gotta be honest here. With a little training and a firm hand, I am sure this issue can be resolved rather quickly. The family has decided that with Ben gone and under these horrendous circumstances, having 2 dogs and one that is so energetic is just NOT going to work for Lesley. So....they have concluded that Eddie has to be placed with another family. Do you think we could post something on the website? and if you know of anyone who might be interested, please pass along the info. I think I will make up some kind of poster for the dog park. I am waiting to get an actual picture of Eddie, but in the meantime, here are a couple pictures of Wheaton Terriers...they are really cute. EDDIE ADOPTION : Still waiting to find out if Eddie got adopted. Matt and his wife of Lucy the Goldendoodle met with him and his owner last week after Bark In The Park. This Saturday or Sunday, they were going to get together again to finalize the adoption. Waiting to hear how it went ? Whew, What I've heard : The Lucy (goldendoodle) family did take EDDIE but -for some reason - it didn't work out. Woman took him back. Anyway, she found out whil he was gone that she could hardly live without him so she wants to keep him anyway. click here for the EDDIE STORY

Free Lab Puppies : Marni ( of Oliver ) sent me this on Wed. Aug. 6. " These puppies were abandoned and are now looking for a good home. If you or anyone you know is interested let me know so that I can get them in contact with the folks that have the puppies. JOJO NEEDS HIS OWN HOME : JOJO: NEEDS A HOMEjuly 19: JOJO HAS FOUND A HOMEjuly 19 : Myra of Myra & Max has officially adopted Jojo : renamed him Jasper. Yay! So, he WILL be around the park now all the time. * Somehow arrived here about a week ago on a Friday evening from a shelter in Yonkers. No name, confused, frightened, held all night by everyone. Only place to foster him was at Pam's with her madcap group of four canine misfits : okay, Moby was a Westminster Show Dog and a White House qualified Portuguese water dog : but he's still -you know : Moby.... AND..... instead of being overwhelmed by the whole Jet, Faith, Sarah, Moby scene, revealed himself to be some kind of long lost comical cousin: in total harmony with their calliope fueled personalities . And yet: Pam can only have the four dogs and 2 cats . Here are some pics of the little guy. He's only months old; still has his puppy teeth, and no one knows what he is.
