SERGIO HAS GONE ON, age 14 : Sergio went a bit up ahead of us yesterday. August 3rd. He was 14. Peacefully with Myra & her daughter. What a year he had at the park - starting last summer. Thing about Sergio was how much he made all of US feel loved. I'll write more later. We'll miss him.

SPOT, Aug. 9, 12 yrs. : Got this today : Saturday, Aug. 9th from Lynn, owner of Spot & Pugsly. Very sad. I really loved Spot. Check out the pics of him playing catch : so graceful, transcendent. I'll write more later. "Marty – Spot (the bulldog) died at about 3:30 this morning. He got pretty sick and we loaded him into the car to go to the all night animal hospital in White Plains, and he died in the car. I guess it was his time as he was 12 ½ years old. He was a sweet thing and enjoyed his last day playing ball, eating and just being happy. He will be very missed by all except Pugsley. Lynn " George & Joanna wrote about this gallery on Aug 10th We loved Spot since we met him when he was about four years old. We became his godparents after Lynn, his mother, had us watch him for a week from Xmas to New Years. It was a love fest ever since. Spot was a character and a half. We took him on several vacations and once couldn't go with Lynn and Cliff to Tanglewood to see James Taylor because they went there and had us watch Spot. We once took him in the wintertime to stay in a coop on Park Avenue, and the doormen fell in love with him, and wanted him to stay with them behind the desk to assist in greeting guests. We also took him to West Hampton, and more people stopped to admire him in the street than the two Malteses with diamond collars that we also had with us. His actual name was "Schmendrique" (he was a closet French Bulldog), but Lynn was unaware of this, so please don't tell her. He was a champion kisser, even inventing a "kissing station" in our house. We love Spot and he will be forever in our hearts.

SERGIO,aug. 3, 14 yrs. : Sunday , August 3rd, Sergio passed away peacefully with Myra and her daughter seeing him gently off. Maybe no dog has yet been as happy as Sergio has been over the past year at the park. He waited 13 years to finally get to such an incredibly fun situation and was determined to have the time of his life. No matter how down you might be, you took a look at Sergio's joyful face, and you found yourself smiling. He had that animated Disney birds flitering and chirping around his head look on his face all the time. Whew ! Will he be missed.... He had a life - what with the love of his family, his last year spent here at the park, and a peaceful bon voyage surrounded by his loved ones that we should all be so lucky. He made everyone feel loved while he was here. What else can you say. I'm sure he wishes us all to do likewise. All the women stand and the men place their hats over there hearts; no one's looking down: he was one of the good guys. In the whole scheme of things, he's way less than a split second up ahead of us.

CHARLIE'S GONE ON : CHARLIE, an older EXTREMELY cute dog has trundled off, scampered beyond. He use come with the much younger BUSTER, A woman and her daughter. A young boy loved Buster so much that the woman let the young boy have him. Now, they've just gotten ROLLY , a jack russell. He did great his first visit to the park. He's ......CONTINUED INSIDE........ going to be a special dog. Charlie would be proud.

OCT 12 Dallas Pups Have Homes : Got these pics yesterday (oct 12) from Suart. Tri color on far right of family pic is the Father "Scotty." Tri color pup Is "Bobby." They're keeping him. Looks like dad. All pups now have homes.

McDuff ( 18 ) : McDuff, the park's oldest dog, 18, has gone on. Saturday October 11th 2008. He was an unbelievably handsome and upbeat Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen. I'll write more later. I really liked this guy. Andrew (Andrew Gomez) was his owner. Ahhhh, you don't even want to think about these things. Just a great dog. No wonder the world held onto him for 18 years.

BRANDY 12 yrs. : Brandy Moved on last Friday, January 16th. She was 12 or 13 years old Brandy, beautiful spirit, of Una and her other spaniel: also named Brandy, left us softly last friday, january 16. I never got to know her real well, she was too sick these last few years, but, in the few times that she was able to get to the park, I fell in love with her. And did she LOVE the park. Never met an old dog that so instantly made you aware of what an amazing dog she must have been only a few years ago. Something in the twinkle in her eyes. I'm gonna really miss hoping that every evening might be an evening that she might be able to get to the park. Oh well, she was a good one. What's that thing the farmer says at the end of the movie " BABE:" "That'll do, Pig. That'll do." That'll do, Brandy. That'll do."
