SANTY PAWS EVENT : What a day - Sunday, SANTY PAWS. So many dogs arrived to get their photo taken on Santa's lap. WHAT A GREAT SANTA ! I was so busy, it being my first photo gig of this sort, I didn't even get to notice how good he was. Now, in the photos, I can see. He even got bit in the line of duty, but kept right on smiling. Alright , so many more pics for me to edit and post.

JET SAVES MADDIE : So. Yesterday, September 1st, I'm at the park with my dog : Maddie. Well, I've been teaching Maddie to walk responsibly off leash, and she's been doing great for about 3 weeks now. But today, as I went with her from the dog park to my car , she took off into the woods up behind the parking area . I called and called her for about 5 minutes or so : nothing. Jimmy who has Divot , one of Maddie's best girlfriends , went off with her up into the woods to see if they could find Maddie. Pam Cunningham comes along with her whole bunch : Faith, Sarah, Moby, and JET. Now, Jet is a wee little miniature black Poodle that most people, if they've noticed him at all, think of as a very neurotic, frightened little boy with major identity issues. I happen to have always just loved the little guy, and Maddie just adores him. Well, Pam after hearing that Maddie's gone missing ... just turns to little JET like he's Lassie or Rin Tin Tin, and just tells him to go find Maddie. Off he dashes , vanishing into the woods , and a minute or two later , here comes Maddie chased or herded by JET with Jimmy and Divot . Jimmy's saying " Jet, found her." Maddie's all smiles... like : " What a great adventure;" Jet is a combination of business and bursts of beaming pride. JET ! hero, all around great guy when the chips are down, best friend of Maddie and I. Best kept secret in the park. Our own canine Peter Parker. Get the little poodle a cape.

JEN (icey dog rescue) : Sunday, the 28th, JEN, our own empress of canine refinement, dove into icy lake waters (maybe a pond) to save a number of dogs under whom the ice had broken. She's fine, as our the dogs. I just got this story, and it's very late as I write so I'll get more details tomorrow.
